Roles & Responsibilities

• Direct pharmacy operations across assigned sites, ensuring safe, efficient medication use and consistent service delivery.
• Collaborate with the director and system pharmacy leadership to develop and implement policies, procedures, QA measures, and performance standards.
• Lead budgeting, operational planning, and resource allocation to meet productivity and financial targets.
• Oversee pharmacy information management systems, inventory control, and charge systems to optimize workflows and accuracy.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with medical staff, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes.
• Participate actively on Pharmacy & Therapeutics, Safety, Information Systems, Patient Medication Safety, and related committees.
• Manage human resources functions: recruit, develop, evaluate, coach, and, when necessary, execute corrective actions to maintain a high-performing team.
• Continuously monitor operational metrics and partner engagement, adjusting plans to meet quality, budgetary, and patient outcome goals.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an accredited college or university (required).
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in health-system pharmacy administration, or equivalent experience (required).
• Active Wisconsin pharmacist license (required).
• Minimum 5 years supervisory or management experience in pharmacy operations (required).
• Proven experience with policy & procedure development, quality assurance, and committee participation.
• Strong HR experience including hiring, performance evaluation, coaching, and disciplinary processes.
• Demonstrated experience with budgeting, financial oversight, and inventory control systems.
