Bill Rate: $25,000 sign-on; $10,000 relocation; $25,000 annual geographic differential

Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver individualized, goal-oriented nursing care for long-term care residents
- Perform thorough nursing assessments, document findings, and maintain accurate EHR progress notes
- Administer medications and therapeutics safely and accurately according to physician orders
- Provide leadership on shift — delegate, supervise, and support CNAs, LPNs, and other staff
- Respond calmly and effectively in emergencies and make sound clinical judgments
- Teach and counsel residents and families; develop and implement care and discharge plans
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and help shape care standards and policies
- Complete mandatory competencies and engage in ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Current, full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or another U.S. state (active Alaska license required for agency staff; direct hires must have applied for Alaska license before start date)
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (BSN, ADN, or Diploma)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- Clinical Competency Assessment and High Risk Competency (required per employer timelines)
- Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, long-term care experience a plus
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and perform typical physical demands of nursing
- Strong communication, delegation, and emergency response skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing — BSN preferred; ADN or Nursing Diploma accepted
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment, care planning, and documentation in EHR
- Medication administration and knowledge of pharmaceuticals
- Infection control practices and safe therapeutic nursing interventions
- Emergency response and AED familiarity
- Leadership skills for charge nurse responsibilities and staff mentorship
- Ability to recognize and act on changes in resident condition
