Roles & Responsibilities

Perform CT and general diagnostic radiographic examinations with technical competence and attention to patient safety
Prepare and administer contrast media and perform intravenous contrast injections when required
Operate CT and X-ray equipment; prepare patient rooms, supplies, and necessary medications
Ensure quality assurance, proper radiographic exposure, and adherence to radiation protection and safety protocols
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation for each procedure
Collaborate with the radiology team and other clinical staff to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care
Uphold Enloe Medical Center’s Core Values and ARRT Standards of Ethics in all clinical activities

Qualifications

Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services
Approved CPR certification
ARRT certification and California fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire
Desired: two years diagnostic x-ray experience and one year CT experience
Desired: radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certification, current ARRT license, state fluoroscopy permit, or advanced CT certification

Education

CRT (California) — Certificate in Radiologic Technology (state-issued)

Knowledge & Skills

Thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and patient care
Strong skills in positioning and principles of radiographic exposure
Understanding of radiation physics, radiobiology, and radiation protection
Quality assurance and specialized imaging technique proficiency
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
