Roles & Responsibilities

• Train and support all users of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and ancillary clinical systems using classroom, one-on-one, remote shadowing and live video methods
• Configure and optimize clinical content (labs, radiology, meds, immunizations, codes) in partnership with medical staff
• Develop engaging training materials and deliver effective user education
• Triage user issues and coordinate resolution with Help Desk, IT, coders and clinical leaders
• Continuously evaluate clinical workflows and recommend improvements that align with best practices
• Collaborate closely with IT teams, vendors, and cross-site clinical staff to maintain application stability
• Support implementations and go-lives, working outside regular hours when needed to ensure success

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an active nursing license (Alaska license required for agency staff; direct hires must apply for Alaska license before start)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• BSN preferred (advanced degrees may substitute for experience on a year-by-year basis)
• Minimum 5 years working in a medical setting (clinical experience preferred)
• Minimum 2 years experience with clinical information systems
• Minimum 1 year experience with computer technology (programming, installation, reporting, or hardware)
• Experience with training/teaching users and supporting multiple clinical sites preferred
• Familiarity with hospital/clinic accreditation processes and HL7 messaging is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• BSN preferred; advanced degree may substitute for required experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven experience with Electronic Health Records and clinical application configuration
• Clinical content management and clinical workflow optimization
• Understanding of medical standards of care in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Knowledge of scheduling, radiology, laboratory, and document scanning systems
• Ability to troubleshoot technical and clinical issues and collaborate with IT
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Comfort with basic reporting and working alongside programmers, network staff, and vendors
