Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures following department protocols and regulatory standards to ensure high-quality patient imaging
• Prepare and position patients, provide excellent patient care including venipuncture when needed, and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
• Process, review, and transmit images to PACS accurately and promptly to support clinical decision making
• Participate in performance improvement and quality control activities to help elevate departmental standards
• Adhere to HFAP, TJC, CMS, state, and federal regulations to maintain compliance and patient safety
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and care teams to deliver a seamless imaging experience

Qualifications

• Current CRT issued by CDPH (required)
• ARRT-R certification (required)
• Current BLS (AHA) / BCLS (required)
• Fluoroscopy permit from CDPH to be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Venipuncture certification to be obtained within 3 months of hire
• Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES (required)
• DCI/BVP certification (listed in certifications)
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations (HFAP/TJC/CMS) and experience with PACS
• At least 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience preferred
• Proficient computer skills

• Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic radiographic procedures and patient positioning
• Image processing and transmission to PACS
• Quality improvement and quality control (PI/QC) processes
• Regulatory compliance knowledge for HFAP, TJC, CMS, state and federal guidelines
• Venipuncture and basic patient care skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable with digital imaging systems and basic IT troubleshooting
