Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM day shift with scheduled on-call responsibilities (weekday call coverage end of shift to 7:30 AM next day; approximately 4-5 weekday call days per pay period) plus 1 weekend per month on-call (weekend call from end of shift Friday through Monday 7:30 AM) — Day shift with on-call/rotating weekends

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert peri-procedural nursing care for patients in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab
• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after cath lab procedures to ensure safety and optimal outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate timely patient care
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with invasive cardiac procedures and interventions
• Respond to on-call activations promptly and manage end-of-shift to next-morning call responsibilities as scheduled
• Complete required documentation, Trinity skills checklist items, and participate in quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Indiana preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NRP, NIHSS, and CPI certifications required as listed
• Previous experience or training in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab or similar interventional cardiology setting preferred
• Ability to pass Trinity skills checklist and required health screenings (fit test, TB screening, drug screen, immunizations, etc.)
• Reliable ability to fulfill on-call and weekend rotation requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred or equivalent nursing education

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and common cath lab procedures
• Proficient patient assessment and hemodynamic monitoring skills
• Experience with sterile technique, procedural setup, and instrument handling in an interventional environment
• Comfort with rapid decision-making, teamwork, and clear communication during procedures and emergent events
• Familiarity with documentation and credentialing workflows (Trinity checklist and license verification)
