Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver age-specific, direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the Nursing Process
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care within department and specialty standards
• Provide clinical leadership at the bedside, including delegation and coordination of team tasks
• Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal healthcare laws, regulations, and policies
• Participate in clinical orientation and maintain required certifications for safe practice
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and patients' families to support high-quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Current RN credential (Registered Nurse) — ability to practice per facility requirements
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS (or ENPC) required to be active prior to contract start date; if not active, a booked course must be in place at clinical orientation
• Experience providing direct patient care in an Emergency Department or similar acute setting
• Demonstrated leadership and delegation skills in a clinical environment
• Knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements relevant to nursing practice
• Willingness and ability to work night shifts and varied schedules

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong command of the Nursing Process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Emergency Department clinical skills and triage assessment
• Age-specific care across the lifespan
• Proficiency in ACLS, BLS, and PALS/ENPC protocols
• Ability to lead, delegate, and coordinate care within a multi-disciplinary team
• Familiarity with specialty-specific standards of patient care and regulatory compliance
• Effective clinical documentation and communication skills
