Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Plant Operations, Environmental Services and Grounds functions for the facility
• Direct and indirectly supervise approximately 45 FTEs across maintenance, operations and EVS
• Develop and implement job-specific customer service expectations and associated training plans
• Ensure preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections are completed per manufacturer recommendations and operational standards
• Oversee utility systems operation to provide continuous heat, steam, power, gas and oxygen for patient care
• Inspect equipment and systems to detect, diagnose and repair malfunctions proactively
• Ensure contractor compliance with hospital policies and all applicable regulatory agencies
• Act as liaison with clinical and non-clinical departments to assess needs and develop action plans
• Maintain compliance with NFPA, OSHA, EPA, CMS and local building and fire codes
• Drive continuous improvement in facilities operations, safety and customer service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field
• Minimum of 5+ years personnel management experience
• Thorough knowledge of electricity, electronics, plumbing, carpentry, boiler operation, HVAC and general building maintenance
• Experience with autoclave operation, bio-waste management, life safety codes and construction phasing
• Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles to diagnose and repair equipment or system failures
• Willingness to relocate to a rural area (required)
• Strong leadership, communication and contractor oversight skills

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field preferred
