Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee the radiology program and daily operations to ensure excellent patient care
• Track incoming radiology studies to confirm proper submission and timely reporting
• Provide PACS training and ongoing support to staff to maximize imaging workflows
• Assist with radiology transcription issues and ensure accurate documentation
• Ensure radiology equipment is maintained, inspected, and compliant with regulatory requirements
• Create and maintain radiology policies and procedures that meet accreditation standards
• Manage the radiation protection monitoring program for staff exposed to radiation
• Perform lead apron testing and ensure all QA/QC activities are completed
• Collaborate with clinic administrators, medical directors, and Finance to improve quality and revenue capture
• Prepare required reports and maintain the radiology chargemaster with Finance
• Supervise radiology staff, complete timely evaluations, and ensure staff competency
• Perform radiologic exams for which you are qualified and competent

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
• Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) required
• Registered Mammographer preferred
• Registered Ultrasound Technologist preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Minimum 5 years experience in radiology management and supervision
• Minimum 5 years experience as a radiology technologist
• PACS training required; CT and MRI technologist experience preferred

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations (including MQSA)
• Experience with digitized imaging and PACS workflows
• Strong quality assurance and quality control skills
• Competence in radiation protection and monitoring programs
• Chargemaster management and revenue capture awareness
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate clinical staff effectively
• Comfort working across multiple computer systems and documenting medical information clearly
