Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation using sound radiation protection practices
• Perform diagnostic medical radiography and CT exams and assist with interventional/CT procedures as required
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging files while ensuring patient confidentiality
• Participate in and assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance and quality control programs
• Transfer patients safely to and from radiology and modify protocols by age group to ensure quality pediatric and geriatric care
• Set up and run automatic injectors, manage contrast administration, and follow contraindication procedures
• Assist with sterile technique during invasive procedures and support venipuncture efforts
• Rotate shifts, take on-call duties, and step into supervisory responsibilities in the absence of leadership
• Engage in continuing education to maintain clinical competency and cross-train across imaging modalities

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification required
• Clinical competency to be achieved within 3 months of hire and renewed every three years
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modalities (CT and X-ray required)
• Willingness to learn and work across multiple imaging modalities (XR, MRI, CT, Mammography) as needed
• Comfortable working in high-stress situations and able to respond on-call within 20 minutes
• Competency or training in sterile technique, venipuncture, and tele-radiology preferred

Education

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• Certifications in CT, MR, MG, NM or ARDMS categories are a plus for advanced tech levels
• Clinical competency documentation required within 3 months of hire and ongoing every three years

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in CT imaging and diagnostic medical radiography
• Strong knowledge of radiation protection principles and patient safety
• Experience with contrast administration and automatic injector operation
• Familiarity with tele-radiology transmission, QA/QC processes, and equipment care
• Ability to perform venipuncture and assist with interventional procedures
• Skilled in patient transfer, records maintenance, and age-appropriate care protocols
