Shift Type: Day shifts (specific start/end times vary by department and patient needs); full-time and part-time opportunities across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing

Bill Rate: $55.51-$79.14/hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings and develop individualized treatment plans
Deliver skilled physical therapy interventions in accordance with physician orders and state regulations
Document clinical findings, progress, and discharge plans clearly and promptly in the EMR
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on treatment goals, home exercise programs, and safety to promote recovery and independence
Use strong clinical reasoning to adapt treatment for diverse diagnoses and changing patient needs

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapy License in good standing
Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
1+ year experience in acute care, swing bed/skilled nursing, or outpatient settings
Proficiency with EMR systems and solid clinical documentation skills

Education

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Patient evaluation and treatment planning
Clinical documentation and EMR proficiency
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving
Excellent communication and teamwork
Attention to detail and commitment to professional development
Comfort working with diverse patient populations and diagnoses
