Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing function to create individualized care plans
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans that drive measurable progress
• Provide skilled therapy and adaptive strategies across varied patient populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic patient care
• Document evaluations, treatment plans and progress in the medical record accurately and timely
• Educate patients, families and caregivers to support carryover and meaningful outcomes

Qualifications

• Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or equivalent clinical certification
• Experience delivering evaluations and therapy in clinical settings; acute care, outpatient or rehab experience a plus
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Active CPR/Basic Life Support certification as required by facility (if applicable)

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in evaluation and intervention for speech, language, cognition and swallowing disorders
• Familiar with clinical documentation practices and electronic health records
• Excellent verbal and written communication when working with patients and team members
• Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse ages and cultural backgrounds
• Time management and organizational skills to manage caseload and compliance
