Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub assist during cardiac and EP diagnostic and interventional procedures to support safe, efficient operations
• Operate MacLab and MacLab recorder to record, measure, and document cardiac procedures accurately
• Provide hands-on support for vascular interventions and device implantations with attention to sterile technique
• Document procedures and patient data in Meditech and local documentation systems
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and techs to anticipate needs and optimize procedural flow
• Float as needed across units per facility policy while maintaining high-quality patient care
• Respond to on-call requirements and assist in urgent cases with calm, competent action
• Contribute to a positive patient experience for adult patients through clear communication and compassionate care

Qualifications

• Active TX RN license required (temporary licenses are not accepted)
• RCIS or RCES certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of hospital experience, preferably in cath lab or EP settings
• EP scrub experience and cath/vascular procedure experience preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech and MacLab strongly preferred
• Comfortable operating cardiac stimulator equipment (Bloom) and MacLab hemodynamic monitoring
• Ability to work rotating schedules, weekends, and participate in on-call rotation

Knowledge & Skills

• Scrub assist for cardiac and EP procedures
• Cardiac catheterization and vascular intervention techniques
• MacLab operation and recording
• Meditech documentation system
• Experience with cardiac stimulators (Bloom) and MacLab hemo monitoring
• Adult patient care experience and peri-procedural monitoring
• Strong sterile technique and procedural teamwork skills
• Effective communication with multi-disciplinary teams
