Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor long-term care residents each shift to ensure safety and well-being
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the chart
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update resident care plans
• Lead and mentor bedside staff during night hours to maintain consistent, high-quality care
• Respond to changes in resident condition and escalate appropriately and timely
• Provide compassionate patient and family education focused on dignity and comfort

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state licensure required to practice)
• Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) settings preferred — you know the rhythms of LTC care
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and the responsibilities they bring
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Ability to secure your own housing during the assignment (candidate is responsible for housing)

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and critical thinking for LTC populations
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with common LTC conditions and care plans
• Electronic medical record charting and clear clinical documentation
• Infection control, wound care basics, and resident-centered communication
