Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate personal care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient status accurately and promptly
• Implement restorative care activities like range of motion and assistive device use to support independence
• Observe, document, and report changes in condition to nursing staff and the treatment team
• Follow infection control and universal precaution protocols to protect residents and staff
• Respect and uphold patient rights and dignity in all interactions
• Participate as an active member of the treatment team to support individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) qualification (position title indicates CNA role)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Workers — must be obtained within six (6) months of employment
• Minimum six (6) months experience working in a long-term care (LTC) facility or similar medically oriented institution
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand simple sentences in English and follow oral and written instructions
• Physically able to perform essential job duties (lifting, transfers, mobility assistance as required)
• Positive attitude, patience, tact, and the ability to remain emotionally stable under pressure
• Previous Hawaii work experience is a plus
