Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure patient drug therapy needs are met by reviewing and optimizing medication orders
• Manage drug distribution operations including unit dose and IV admixtures with attention to safety
• Deliver clinical pharmacy services in collaboration with medical and nursing teams
• Teach and precept learners and staff to elevate pharmacy practice across the facility
• Perform administrative duties to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
• Design and conduct research or quality improvement projects that improve patient outcomes
• Use hospital information systems and computer tools to document care and support workflows
• Communicate clearly with patients and clinicians to promote safe, effective medication use

Qualifications

• Demonstrated hospital pharmacy experience (retail-only candidates are not a fit)
• Familiarity with unit dose systems and preparation/verification of IV admixtures
• Strong computer skills and comfort with technical pharmacy practice
• Self-directed, able to prioritize and manage clinical and distribution tasks independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
• Experience in teaching, administrative duties, or research is preferred

• Clinical pharmacy practice and medication therapy management
