Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assist with daily living activities
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Assist with hygiene, feeding, and toileting while preserving patient dignity
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families, offering comfort and reassurance

Qualifications

• Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification for North Carolina
• Completion of required state/background checks and immunizations
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• Previous CNA experience preferred; new grads with clinical experience are welcome to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and infection control practices
• Skill in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable with electronic charting or paper documentation
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
