Shift Type: Day shift (specific start/end times not provided); full-time day schedule. New Employee Orientation occurs Tuesdays and Wednesdays (attendance required)
Hours per Week: 32
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope occupational therapy care for inpatient and outpatient patients across the lifespan
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including ADL training and therapeutic exercise
- Perform home visits and village travel as required to reach patients across the region
- Collaborate frequently with medical providers, interdisciplinary teams and community partners
- Document patient progress and medical correspondence accurately and professionally
- Adapt treatment plans using age-specific and patient-specific considerations
- Contribute to didactic teaching and competency activities to support direct access practice
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Licensed in good standing as an Occupational Therapist in Alaska or holding a good-standing OT license in another state and awaiting Alaska licensure
- Current NBCOT certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- No minimum clinical experience required but clinical experience is preferred
- Must meet immunization/titer requirements: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Tdap, Polio or acceptable titers/records
- Successful background checks, national criminal check, 10-panel drug screen within the last 90 days, and completion of onboarding documentation prior to travel
- Willingness and ability to perform village travel and home visits; able to work in shared housing
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and development of individualized plans of care
- Skilled documentation and medical correspondence
- Evidence-based practice and incorporation of current OT literature
- ADL training and therapeutic exercise programming
- Familiarity with modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation
- Strong communication skills and cultural competence working with diverse populations
- Didactic teaching and ability to support direct access practice
- Experience in inpatient, outpatient, and long term care settings preferred
