Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including activities of daily living
• Assist nursing team with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Support safe patient transfers and maintain a clean, comfortable environment
• Document care and observations clearly in the patient chart
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff to promote coordinated care
• Follow infection control policies and adhere to facility safety standards

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Active state CNA certification or ability to obtain NC state certification
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with patient mobility and personal care
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to patient-centered care

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and patient hygiene
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Good documentation and charting skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate bedside manner
• Teamwork and the ability to follow nursing direction
