Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy care through accurate order entry and verification
• Check and dispense medications to ensure safe, effective therapy for diverse patient populations
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams including physicians, nurses, and technicians to optimize medication use
• Rotate into ambulatory roles as needed, supporting anticoagulation clinic services and oncology care
• Support medication safety initiatives and adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Participate in patient counseling and education to improve outcomes across geriatrics to pediatrics

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania pharmacist license or eligible for reciprocation within 90 days
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
• Pharmacy residency experience preferred for ambulatory rotations
• Advanced practice certifications preferred
• Healthcare Provider BLS meeting American Heart Association standards (required for some ambulatory roles)
• Retail pharmacy experience will not be considered

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (required)
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care with a focus on medication safety and effective use
• Order entry, verification, checking and dispensing workflows
• Clinical pharmacy practices across acute care and ambulatory settings
• Interprofessional collaboration and clear communication with care teams
• Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and mentor pharmacy staff
