Location: Seattle, WA
Start Date: 04-06-2026
End Date: 07-06-2026
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: Day 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or Night 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; schedule may include every-other-weekend and holidays as needed (training first 2 weeks in Tacoma, then assignment in Seattle).
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor continuous telemetry and identify rhythm changes by interpreting EKG strips and alarms promptly
- Document findings and interventions in the EMR (Cerner now; EPIC transition beginning 05/02/2026) accurately and timely
- Manage and adjust alarms per established protocols to support patient safety and reduce alarm fatigue
- Communicate effectively with bedside staff, RNs, and the care team using Vocera and other communication tools
- Triage and escalate clinically significant events using the chain of command to ensure timely patient care
- Assist with patient-centered tasks across OBS, med-surg telemetry, and PCU populations while maintaining organization during high-volume periods
- Participate in orientation and skills validation, including completion of the required EKG test
Qualifications
- Basic EKG interpretation training (required)
- Prior monitor tech experience (required)
- Minimum: 2 years of relevant experience (per job details)
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced telemetry environment
- Willingness to complete required EKG test during orientation and attend 1-2 weeks of training in Tacoma
- Comfortable working on Cerner and participating in EPIC transition training (EPIC go-live 05/02/2026)
- BLS: not required (explicitly stated)

Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition
