Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care across critical care, ED, and floor settings to improve patient outcomes
• Manage mechanical ventilation per physician orders and established protocols
• Perform arterial blood gas draws and analyses accurately and efficiently
• Respond to codes, rapid response teams, emergencies, and patient transports with composure
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, patients, and families to coordinate respiratory treatments
• Document patient interactions, treatments, and QA/QC activities in EPIC and other systems
• Maintain respiratory equipment according to manufacturer specifications and participate in QA/QC

Qualifications

• Active RRT certification through the NBRC (CRT not accepted for this role)
• Graduate of an AMA‑approved School of Respiratory Therapy
• Active state Respiratory Therapy license (New Hampshire; compact allowed)
• Active American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum 2 years' experience in cardiopulmonary services as an RRT (ICU/ED/floor therapies)
• EPIC experience required
• Ability to work independently and cover a shift solo
• Traveler requirements: own vehicle, permanent address included in profile, and any requested RTO submitted at time of application
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years

Education

• Graduate of an AMA‑Approved School of Respiratory Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in mechanical ventilation management and ventilator operation
• Proficiency with arterial blood gas (ABG) drawing and blood gas analysis
• Familiar with nebulizers, inhalers, and floor-based respiratory therapies
• Strong assessment skills for critical care patients and consultative support to units
• Comfort responding to codes and participating in rapid response teams
• Experience with EPIC documentation and accurate medication/therapy charting
• Ability to perform equipment QA/QC and routine maintenance
