Roles & Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies (XR, CT, MR, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, fluoroscopy) accurately and efficiently
• Provide timely radiology reads to support ER and inpatient care, maintaining high clinical impact
• Perform light interventional procedures such as biopsies, drainages, lumbar punctures, arthrograms and select image-guided interventions
• Communicate findings clearly and collaboratively with referring clinicians to guide patient management
• Participate in quality assurance, protocol optimization, and service improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow billing/credentialing requirements including submission of bill rates

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
• Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
• Active PA medical license or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Experience with XR, CT, MR and fluoroscopy; comfort with nuclear medicine and ultrasound a plus
• Competency in image-guided procedures (biopsies, drainages, arthrograms); light IR experience desirable
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care
• Current ACLS/BLS as required by facility policies

Education

• MD or DO; Diagnostic Radiology residency required; fellowship training in subspecialty areas a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven expertise in Diagnostic Radiology and Medical Imaging
• Comfortable reading emergent and routine ER studies under time-sensitive conditions
• Familiarity with PACS, reporting systems, and radiology workflow
• Ability to perform and interpret image-guided biopsies and procedures (CT/US guided)
• Understanding of wRVU productivity expectations and daily volume management
• Attention to quality, safety, and protocol optimization
