Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night hours
• Administer medications accurately and on schedule, documenting per policy
• Perform routine assessments and monitor patient status, reporting changes promptly
• Maintain clear and timely electronic charting and shift handoffs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care
• Support patient safety initiatives and infection control practices
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge needs as required

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in West Virginia required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute care preferred
• Ability to work overnight shifts and remain alert during extended hours
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background checks
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

• Diploma or Certificate in Practical Nursing (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation
• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Basic wound care and infection control practices
• Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR)
• Time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
• Teamwork and clear clinical communication
