Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Perform thorough assessments and create individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery and self-care
• Respond to changes in patient condition and urgent situations with calm and competence
• Support unit efficiency and mentor newer team members

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina (or compact license where applicable)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or based on unit needs
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with hospital EHR systems and electronic charting
• Time management, prioritization, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and advocate for patients
