Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients on the Medical/Surgical unit
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans that make a measurable difference
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and the care team to coordinate timely care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Document patient status and interventions clearly and professionally
• Respond to changes in patient condition with appropriate clinical interventions

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact RN license
• BLS required; ACLS and specialty certifications preferred where applicable
• Minimum clinical experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and critical thinking for adult inpatient care
• IV therapy, medication administration, and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
• Patient and family education techniques with a focus on safety and recovery
