Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Position patients with care and respect while explaining procedures in clear, friendly terms
- Follow radiation safety protocols and quality control procedures to protect patients and staff
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical teams to ensure timely results
- Accurately document procedures and maintain images in PACS and the patient record
- Troubleshoot common equipment issues and escalate when technical support is needed
- Contribute to a positive patient experience through compassionate, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Active ARRT certification or state radiography license required
- Current BLS certification required or obtained upon hire
- Previous radiology/imaging experience preferred, but enthusiastic learners encouraged to apply
- Strong patient-facing skills and a professional bedside manner
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed and follow safe lifting practices
Education
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging protocols
- Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and electronic health record systems
- Understanding of radiation safety principles and ALARA
- Comfortable operating digital radiography equipment and performing QC checks
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a busy outpatient imaging environment
