Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based occupational therapy evaluations and treatment to help patients regain independence
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on activities of daily living, adaptive techniques, and meaningful goals
• Collaborate with nurses, PTs, SLPs, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate high-quality care
• Document progress clearly and efficiently in the electronic medical record to support continuity of care
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, adaptive equipment, and safety to promote successful discharge
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem solving and patient-centered planning

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapist license required
• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program (Master's or OTD preferred)
• NBCOT certification preferred or in progress
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtain upon hire
• Clinical experience in outpatient or skilled settings preferred (1+ year recommended)
• Reliable transportation and ability to meet facility scheduling requirements
• Ability to pass background and health screenings as required

Education

• Master's or Doctorate (OTD) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL assessments, therapeutic activity planning, and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Excellent clinical documentation and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and patient education skills
• Comfortable working within an interdisciplinary care team
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and productivity expectations
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and maintain clinical excellence
