Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function
- Develop individualized treatment plans and set measurable goals
- Deliver hands-on manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional training
- Document patient progress thoroughly and communicate updates to the care team
- Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, safety, and prevention strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina Physical Therapist license (required)
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy (preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification (current)
- Previous clinical experience as a licensed PT preferred (1+ years helpful but new grads welcome)
- Clean background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
Education
- DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) or Master's degree in Physical Therapy
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise prescription
- Strong patient assessment and clinical reasoning skills
- Comfortable with documentation in electronic medical records
- Excellent communication, patient education, and teamwork abilities
- Safe patient handling and mobility assistance expertise
