Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients
- Administer medications and treatments according to facility policies
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress clearly and promptly
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to create and follow care plans
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control and facility protocols
- Communicate with families and care team members in a professional, kind manner
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered LPN license (WV) — must be current and in good standing
- Completion of an accredited LPN program
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
- Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN program
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical observation skills
- Medication administration knowledge and accurate documentation
- Comfortable using electronic health records and basic computer skills
- Time management, prioritization, and ability to work independently on nights
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork abilities
