Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, promoting dignity and independence
- Support therapists and nursing staff with rehab exercises and mobility assistance
- Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly and accurately
- Provide compassionate personal care including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Document care and interventions clearly in the patient record
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
- Build trusting relationships with patients and families to enhance recovery
Qualifications
- Active GNA/CNA certification or equivalent in Maryland, or eligible to obtain one
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain promptly
- Background check and drug screen clearance as required
- Comfortable working evening/night schedule (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
- Previous experience in rehab, long-term care, or acute care is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA/CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on safety and dignity
- Basic knowledge of mobility assistance and transfer techniques
- Good communication and teamwork skills with clinical staff
- Reliable documentation and charting abilities
- Awareness of infection prevention and standard precautions
