Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, competent bedside care to residents during the overnight shift
- Administer medications, document care, and monitor patient status with accuracy
- Collaborate with nursing team and interdisciplinary staff to support continuity of care
- Respond to patient needs and clinical changes promptly and escalate as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely charting in facility documentation systems
- Support patient comfort and safety while promoting dignity and independence
Qualifications
- Active LPN license valid in Maryland
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
- Previous clinical experience as an LPN preferred; new grads with strong skills are welcome to apply
- Ability to work overnight hours (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and reliably attend assigned shifts
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program; High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid medication administration and wound care fundamentals
- Familiarity with basic nursing documentation and charting practices
- Ability to recognize and act on changes in patient condition
- Comfort working independently during overnight hours while coordinating with on-call staff
- Good time management and prioritization skills in a busy clinical setting
