Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans that restore function and independence
- Deliver hands-on therapy and guide therapeutic exercise programs with purpose and compassion
- Monitor patient progress and adjust plans to achieve measurable outcomes
- Document care clearly and promptly in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
- Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, safety, and self-management strategies
- Contribute to a positive clinic culture by mentoring colleagues and sharing best practices
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Maryland (active state license required)
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Therapy accepted
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
- Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred but motivated new grads are welcome to apply
- Excellent communication skills and professional, patient-focused demeanor
- Ability to manage a full caseload while maintaining accurate documentation
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor’s or Master’s in Physical Therapy acceptable
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in musculoskeletal assessment and therapeutic exercise prescription
- Familiarity with manual therapy techniques and progressive mobility training
- Strong patient education and motivational coaching abilities
- Comfortable using common EMR systems for documentation and scheduling
- Good time management and organizational skills to run efficient treatment sessions
