Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
• Assess resident conditions, monitor vitals, and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Document care thoroughly and maintain clear, professional handoffs
• Collaborate with CNAs, RNs, and interdisciplinary teams to create positive outcomes
• Support resident comfort and dignity while fostering a safe environment

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in West Virginia (or compact/eligible and able to obtain WV licensure)
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred (1+ year ideal)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on night shift
• Proof of immunizations and ability to pass background checks as required

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic wound care and IV/PO medication competency where applicable
• Familiarity with electronic health record charting
• Ability to perform resident assessments and report changes clearly
• Teamwork, time management, and prioritization during busy shifts
