Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the unit
• Assess patient conditions, document findings, and communicate changes promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and execute care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to policy
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment and discharge planning
• Actively participate in unit meetings, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement
• Advocate for patients and promote a positive, respectful care environment

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license for North Carolina (or compact RN license eligible)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or required depending on unit
• Minimum 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (hospital setting a plus)
• Current RN clinical experience within the last 12 months preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to pass background checks and credentialing in a timely manner

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
• Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of infection control, medication administration, and safety protocols
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient education skills
