Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, safe nursing care to adults on an acute care unit
- Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and document changes clearly
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
- Escalate concerns promptly to ensure excellent patient outcomes
- Contribute to unit quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact license
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
- Minimum clinical experience recommended, open to strong new grads with relevant acute care training
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospital environment
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
- Medication administration and IV therapy competence
- Basic understanding of acute care protocols and patient safety practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
