Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient status, and care interventions
- Collaborate with RNs and the care team to implement individualized care plans
- Assist patients with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
- Communicate clearly with patients and families to educate and support them
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Active Maryland LPN license (required)
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current CPR/BLS certification (required or obtainable upon hire)
- Prefer 1+ year of recent LPN clinical experience (helpful but not mandatory)
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and health requirements
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (Diploma or Associate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation
- Routine patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Infection control practices and patient safety
- Basic wound care and care-assist techniques
- Teamwork, time management, and clear communication
