Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and perform thorough assessments to identify functional needs
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that get people moving and feeling better
• Deliver hands-on care and therapeutic exercise with compassion and clinical precision
• Track and document patient progress clearly and efficiently in the EMR
• Collaborate with colleagues and caregivers to ensure coordinated, holistic care
• Coach patients and families on home programs and safe activity progression
• Contribute to a positive clinic culture by mentoring aides and supporting team goals

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Illinois (required)
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred or equivalent clinical education
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
• 1+ year of clinical experience preferred, especially in outpatient orthopedics or musculoskeletal care
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Ability to work part-time and adapt to clinic scheduling needs

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred
• Bachelor's or Master's in a related field accepted with relevant experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Manual therapy and therapeutic exercise techniques
• Gait training and functional mobility interventions
• Patient assessment, outcome measures, and care planning
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation best practices
• HIPAA-compliant communication and record-keeping
• Ability to educate patients and caregivers effectively
