Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and document resident conditions, reporting changes to the nursing team
- Support mealtime and feeding needs, including special dietary requirements
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to keep residents and staff safe
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary teams to deliver person-centered care
- Maintain clean, safe resident environments and accurate care records
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (or state-recognized equivalent) required
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in long-term care, assisted living, or similar setting preferred
- Valid state nursing assistant registry status and clear background checks
Education
- High school diploma or GED; GNA/CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and mobility support
- Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and basic observations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and families
- Knowledge of infection control, resident safety, and documentation standards
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to follow care plans accurately
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work night shift responsibilities
