Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality direct patient care as a licensed LPN
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs, reporting changes promptly
- Document care thoroughly and clearly in the electronic health record
- Collaborate closely with RNs, physicians, and the care team to coordinate patient care
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient education to support recovery
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Maryland required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent LPN experience preferred; new grads may be considered depending on unit needs
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic nursing treatments
- Patient assessment and vital sign interpretation
- Wound care and basic procedures commonly performed by LPNs
- Accurate charting and familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Infection control practices and patient safety focus
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
