Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor patient status and report changes to the care team promptly
- Perform routine assessments and document findings thoroughly
- Support patient education and assist families with discharge planning
- Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary team members to optimize care
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Maryland (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
- Completion of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
- Prior LPN experience in an acute care or long-term care setting preferred
- Current immunizations and ability to pass background checks
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) or Vocational Nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic wound care
- Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients and team members
- Reliable documentation skills in electronic health records
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
