Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care on the med/surg unit
• Perform thorough assessments and develop timely, effective nursing plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate excellent care
• Document patient care clearly and promptly in electronic health records
• Advocate for patients and families, providing education and support
• Recognize changes in patient status and act quickly to escalate concerns

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• 1+ years of acute care or med/surg nursing experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with medication administration, IV therapy, and basic wound care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required background checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy proficiency
• Experience with electronic health record systems and timely documentation
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication and bedside manner
• Basic competency in common med/surg procedures and post-op care
