Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care and support daily activities
- Assist residents with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility) safely and respectfully
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the clinical team
- Accurately document care and observations in the resident record
- Follow infection prevention and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to deliver coordinated care
Qualifications
- Valid GNA or CNA certification (required)
- Active Maryland certification or eligibility to obtain Maryland certification
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Comfortable with lifting and safe resident transfers
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
- Previous long-term care or rehab experience is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA/CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and long-term care best practices
- Familiarity with ADL assistance and safe transfer techniques
- Able to document care clearly and follow facility protocols
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Team-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills
