Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a busy medical/surgical unit
• Perform thorough assessments, document findings, and develop safe nursing plans
• Administer medications and IV therapies accurately and on time
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Advocate for patients and families, educating them in ways they can understand
• Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and escalate when necessary
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring peers and sharing best practices

Qualifications

• Active RN license for North Carolina required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum of 1 year acute care or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred
• Current vaccinations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients safely
• Basic ECG interpretation and familiarity with common inpatient procedures
• Customer-service mindset with patients and families
