Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, safe nursing care to assigned patients during the day shift
- Perform medication administration and document accurately in the patient record
- Complete patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
- Assist with procedures, wound care, and daily living needs as appropriate
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and support staff to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate, timely charting and handoff information at shift end
- Follow facility policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Maryland required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required or obtained upon hire
- Previous LPN experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills considered
- Comfortable with medication administration, basic wound care, and patient assessments
- Ability to provide professional, patient-centered care and work well in a team
Education
- Licensed Practical Nurse diploma or vocational nursing certificate (LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with medication administration and basic IV/shot protocols as applicable
- Strong patient assessment and vital sign monitoring skills
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Good communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Basic knowledge of infection control, safety practices, and nursing standards
