Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including ADLs, mobility assistance, and monitoring
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers and fall prevention measures to keep residents secure
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in resident charts and care plans
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Support a positive, respectful environment that promotes resident dignity and comfort

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification and current Virginia state credential required
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or must obtain upon hire
• Reliable attendance and the ability to meet the every-other-weekend requirement
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Comfortable working in long-term care/skilled nursing settings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed accredited CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong basic nursing assistant skills: bathing, feeding, toileting, ambulation
• Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation
• Understanding of infection control and resident safety protocols
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
