Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts (days not specified); primary posted shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Schedule note: local rotation includes coverage blocks of 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM and 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM plus one 8-hour shift. Shift type: Rotating (day/evening).

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care that makes a real difference
Assess, monitor and document patient status, recognizing changes early
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care plans
Educate patients and families to promote recovery and self-care
Maintain accurate electronic medical records and handoffs for seamless continuity

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (eligible to practice in Rhode Island)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; additional certifications encouraged
Comfortable working in a fast-paced inpatient environment
Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills
Local candidates preferred (assignment is local-only)

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation
Time management, prioritization, and multitasking under pressure
Clear communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
Infection control and safety best practices
