Radiologic Technologist
Location: Marrero, LA
Start Date: 04-01-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 8.5-hour shift; exact start/end times and days to be determined (Rad Tech)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams with attention to detail and patient comfort
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment following safety protocols
- Position patients correctly and ensure images meet clinical standards
- Follow radiation safety (ALARA) principles and maintain safety records
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to deliver timely care
- Accurately document procedures and update patient records in the EMR
Qualifications
- Valid Radiologic Technologist certification (ARRT) or registry-eligible
- State licensure for Louisiana or ability to obtain required state licensure
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification
- Strong patient-care skills and professional communication
- Prior experience in hospital or acute-care radiology preferred
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiography program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with digital radiography systems and imaging workflows
- Solid understanding of radiation safety and quality control
- Ability to position patients and evaluate image quality effectively
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and image archiving systems
- Teamwork mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting
