Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for behavioral health patients
• Perform thorough assessments and document patient status and progress
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Respond calmly and effectively to crisis situations and de-escalate when appropriate
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Educate patients and families about care, coping strategies, and available resources
• Participate in orientation and unit training to maintain clinical competencies

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Hampshire or eligible for state licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications a plus
• Experience or strong interest in behavioral health nursing preferred
• Comfort working 12.5-hour shifts and participating in orientation
• Reliable background check and immunization status in line with facility policy
• Strong communication, assessment, and crisis-intervention skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of behavioral health assessments and safety protocols
• Skilled in patient observation, documentation, and care planning
• Ability to de-escalate and manage challenging behaviors with empathy
• Familiarity with medication administration and side-effect monitoring
• Team-oriented approach and effective interdisciplinary communication
