Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents
- Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments according to facility policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow care plans
- Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
- Support residents and families with clear, respectful communication and education
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse credential (RN) — required
- Current eligibility or ability to work in Connecticut (licensure details to be confirmed)
- Basic clinical nursing skills and sound judgment in patient care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; compassionate bedside manner
- Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in resident assessment and monitoring
- Familiarity with medication administration and documentation practices
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a busy clinical setting
- Comfortable working collaboratively with clinical and support staff
- Commitment to infection control and patient safety standards
